Donald Trump’s Magical Transformation of US Courts

The news media shines a light on the trendy political issue of the day. But the truly important trends and events are often left out of the spotlight…

While you were focused on COMEY, Trump nominated another group of CONSERVATIVE Judges (June 7, 2017)
While you were focused on … Republicans kept moving judicial nominees through pipeline (February 18,2018)
While you were distracted by [insert news cycle], Trump continued to reshape the federal judiciary (May 19, 2019)
While you were watching the Democrat debates, Mitch McConnell rammed through more judges (August 1, 2019)

And it continues with the media obsessed on Ukraine and Impeachment. __ Legal Insurrection

Donald Trump is doing his magic, but it is being done out of the public eye. He is transforming the US federal judiciary, rescinding dozens of destructive Obama executive orders, and otherwise changing the future rules for how government in the US works.

While the news media and most of the public are fixated on the faux drama of impeachment, Trump is creating a legacy:

Trump is flipping or is on the verge of flipping Circuits:

Of the judges confirmed under Trump, 43 are appeals court judges — a very impressive number. In fact, this is 14 more appeals court judges than George W. Bush, 16 more than Clinton, and 22 more than Obama had confirmed at the same point in their presidencies.

Additionally, Trump has flipped the Third Circuit Court of Appeals (which covers Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and the Virgin Islands). For those unfamiliar with the term, “flipping a circuit” means creating a majority of judges on a circuit court who were nominated by presidents from the same party. Trump is also on the cusp of flipping the Second Circuit of Appeals (which covers New York, Vermont, and Connecticut) and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals (which covers Georgia, Florida, and Alabama). Trump has even made notable gains on the notoriously liberal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals (which covers Alaska, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands) where there are now 16 Democrat-appointed judges and 12 Republican-appointed judges with one vacancy.

This seismic shift in the composition of the federal judiciary is getting almost no current mainstream media coverage because all the oxygen is being taken up with Democrats’ impeachment efforts.

Slowly, surely, Trump is creating a legacy that will last a generation. __ Legal Insurrection

This transformation of the federal judiciary is an important step back toward constitutional rule. Other executive actions by Trump are making it easier to do business, are helping to support legal immigration as opposed to illegal immigration, are helping to reduce regulatory burdens and costs for property owners and businesses, and have reduced tax rates for most income earners and business owners.

Here is a short description of some of regulatory reforms that President Trump has instituted as of October 2019

Trump’s attempt to slow down China’s thieving rush to global domination is almost a footnote to his many other, less visible accomplishments.

Face it: The elitist moneybags who own the media, control much of academia, and pull the strings of over half the politicians in DC — they do not want you to understand what is going on. They would rather keep you distracted on the trendy quips and soundbites that reinforce their own special interests.

You do not have to play their game any longer. Consider making yourselves Dangerous so that you can give those would-be overlords of yours a really bad day.

All you observe is important and honestly reported AFAIK, but for these changes to remain in place long enough to effect societal change away from the extremes, Trump is going to have to address the other end of the human societal spectrum – attack the problem from both ends, so to speak.

It is said that politics is downstream from culture, and culture is downstream from the assumptions that organize our societal structure, with assumptions being downstream from faith (or belief if you prefer). If Trump can’t find a way to begin to alter the beliefs that influence the assumptions we use to construct our societal structures, the existing cultural elements within US society will simply continue to advance their relative political position within a purely political context. Causing a shift in the assumptions that guide our cultural decisions is the only way to interrupt the culture-politics closed-loop struggle we currently exist within that President Trump is having success changing from the political perspective.

Basically, the President has to find a way to convince enough of us that we want to keep, indeed increase, the positive changes he has caused to start.
