Europe is excessively dependent upon outsiders for its defence, for its energy, for its technology, and increasingly for its workforce.
Without a change in direction, the “foundations of Europe’s society and its values will come under increasing strain, as relying on third countries means relying on their values,” according to the document, a copy of which was obtained by Bloomberg News. “Europe’s position and influence in global markets will be eroded, affecting European leadership and jeopardizing our technological sovereignty in key industrial strategic value chains.” __ Source
Europe is in the unenviable position of needing the patronage of a more powerful and dynamic political entity, just to keep it from fading into the night. The people of Europe deserve better than their governments are providing for them.
North America and China are in the best positions to maintain themselves in the near to intermediate futures. Europe, Russia, Japan, S. Korea, and Taiwan are melting away in a demographic collapse, and must have powerful allies to prevent an outside takeover.
The Chinese have gained access to leaders around the world by promising and delivering lucre to their businesses and personal interests. We have witnessed this behavior from Australia to Zimbabwe. It is the CCP’s modus operandi and must have succeeded beyond the boundaries of their imagination. It continues to do so. __ Source
China wants the nations of the world to pay homage as its tributaries. The US government on the other hand is growing less interested with the mundane affairs outside of North America and the Caribbean. Europe can expect to be courted by the Chinese — until the iron leash is fastened upon her neck. That is the way of the world. China wants to be served by Europe. The US is simply tired of all of Europe’s nonsense over the past century or so, having felt forced to save her far too many times from her own folly.
Europe is going to have to serve somebody, unless she changes her ways.
Gotta Serve Somebody
Might like to wear cotton, might like to wear silk
Might like to drink whiskey, might like to drink milk
You might like to eat caviar, you might like to eat bread
You may be sleeping on the floor, sleeping in a king-sized bed
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You’re gonna have to serve somebody
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody
As of the first of January, 2020, China will demand the encryption keys from all financial entities operating inside its imperial territories. Depending upon the responses to this demand, further demands will be presented. It is a slippery slope, and too many European entities have passed the point of no return in their relationship with China.
With less and less to bring to the bargaining table, Europe is becoming the “weak man of the world.” She is filling her cities with aliens who hate her ways, betting her future on the kindness of strangers in a world where strangers are not kind. Unless Europe can grow some manhood suddenly, she risks becoming another tributary of China — either on her own or secondarily via her energy thralldom to Russia.
Putin’s Russia is already a tributary of China, but the bear can offer Europe to the dragon as a tasty morsel.
