A Deliberate Strike?

Xi Sickened the World

Wuhan CoV-19 is not a typical war-virus. Its release from a government lab was almost certainly an accident, leading to (probably) tens of thousands of deaths in the Wuhan area. The actions of the CCP government after that accident suggest a deliberate course of action that resulted in the global infection of millions of people outside China.

This is the most likely scenario: The CCP found itself with a highly contagious and deadly version of a SARS-like virus on its hands. It could alert the world in a straightforward and honest fashion, in order to minimize viral spread — and to enlist the ingenuity of the worldwide science community to fight the epidemic. Or it could cover up the deadly reality, and help to speed the virus on its way around the world before outside nations had time to prepare themselves. Xi made his choice.

Xi Jinping has produced the greatest program of ethnic cleansing in the world today. He has curtailed freedoms in China severely and is the father of the panopticon state. His incessant military buildup threatens neighbors while using economic and other subversive means to erode the sovereignty of countries around the world. We should not assume it was beyond his imagining to withhold a degree of support from the international community to ensure that China would not suffer alone.

Strong evidence supports this idea. Hearing the World Health Organization (WHO) repeat and praise the Party line while giving short shrift to health advice until quite recently has alarmed many. Seeing Beijing sell defective wares and claim it as humanitarian aid has angered many more. Spreading disinformation during the crisis and hinting at using life-saving goods for leverage (original here) — while denying even the faintest hint of wrongdoing — I suspect have ruined China’s reputation for some time to come. In short, China’s good offices have been reserved almost entirely for burnishing its image at the world’s expense, while calling it “the greatest kindness and good deeds.”__ Source, with many links

The factual, historical timeline of China’s coverup and lies, is being denied and covered up by Chinese propaganda operations — and by unsavory elements of the western media and western governments who are being manipulated by Beijing. But a number of groups are taking a lot of time to try to get it right.

Detailed timelines of China’s lies

By the time Chinese officials acknowledged that the coronavirus spread between humans—a fact they already knew—it had already made its way across Asia and to Europe and North America. The reported number of infected people in the PRC also increased rapidly during this time.17 But China’s tally of infections and deaths were severely under-counted, as the PRC continued to crack down on free speech and prevent independent medical investigations. This further lulled the world into a false sense of security.

PRC oppression significantly increased beginning in late January. It detained and disappeared independent Chinese journalists, expelled foreign journalists, and shut down the internet in certain areas, according to netizens.18 State censors were simultaneously given more powers to remove more content from the internet.19 The CCP made every available effort to hide what was happening not only in Wuhan, but across China.

Many Chinese citizens risked their lives exposing the lies of the Communist regime. In late January and early February, Citizen journalist Chen Qiushi and salesperson Fang Bin published dozens of YouTube videos documenting images in Wuhan: long lines outside of hospitals, grieving families, and body bags. “In front of me is the virus. Behind me is China’s legal and administrative power,” Qiushi said in one video a week before his disappearance on February 6. Fang described himself as “a person, just an ordinary person, a silly person who lifted the lid for a second.”20 He has not been heard from since his last video, posted February 9. __ Victims of the Lie

China continued to try to destroy all physical evidence that might have connected the Wuhan virus with Wuhan government labs. In addition, China moved quickly to “disappear” any journalists, medical personnel, and private citizens who revealed epidemic details unfavorable to the regime.

What is most amazing is that, if the Chinese allowed this virus to escape and then arrested doctors raising the alarm over the spread, it would be one of the greatest stories of our lifetime: a world pandemic caused by human error. Millions have been infected and thousands have died. If the cause was negligence by a totalitarian nation (that ignored warnings and punished doctors), this would be a story of the century. Suddenly magazines care saying that they are now thinking about the “unthinkable.” Yet, it was never truly unthinkable was it?
Yesterday, CNN aired stories on the cables without acknowledging that its prior coverage dismissing the theory. CNN was not alone. This is why the public has lost such faith in the media. __ Jonathan Turley

Still no human-to-human transmission outside China, according to WHO. Science News: “No human-to-human transmission has yet been reported outside of China, the WHO said.”

Chinese government bans ‘group travel’ within China but allows travel to foreign countries. Beijing bans “group travel” within China but still permits travel abroad. “But in a blunder that would have far reaching consequences, China did not issue an order suspending group travel to foreign countries until three days later, on Jan. 27,” Japan’s Nikkei reports.

Dr Fauci in US seems to believe China government authorities. US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci says in a radio interview [on 26 January 2020] that the American people shouldn’t worry about the coronavirus. “It’s a very, very low risk to the United States,” Fauci says. “But it’s something that we as public health officials need to take very seriously,” he says. “It isn’t something the American public needs to worry about or be frightened about. Because we have ways of preparing and screening of people coming in [from China]. And we have ways of responding – like we did with this one case in Seattle, Washington, who had traveled to China and brought back the infection.”

China tightening grip on coronavirus research

China’s first concern is with controlling its propaganda narrative. As far as CCP leaders are concerned, half the population of China could sicken and die and the entire population of the world outside China could die — and as long as the propaganda narrative is preserved and controlled, it would be considered a good outcome.

“In terms of priority, controlling the narrative is more important than the public health or the economic fallout,” he said. “It doesn’t mean the economy and public health aren’t important. But the narrative is paramount.”

With the virus having infected more than a million people worldwide and caused heavy casualties particularly across Europe and the US, details about its origin and the first weeks of the pandemic – when there was a cover-up by local officials – may be considered particularly sensitive.

“If these documents are authentic it would suggest the government really wants to control the narrative about the origins of Covid-19 very tightly,” said Tsang of the reports of new regulations.

China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) appears to have published and then deleted new requirements that academic papers dealing with the origins of the virus be approved by China’s ministry of science and technology before publication. __ Guardian

China viral labs are sloppy

China hid the outbreak, arrested top doctors, and buried research on its origins. However, a narrative quickly emerged in countering President Donald Trump’s references to the “China virus.” People, including members of Congress, who referred to the lab were ridiculed on CNN and other outlets as conspiracy theorists like Politifact declared the theory to be utterly baseless. For some of us, the overwhelming media narrative seemed odd and artificial. It would seem obvious that a lab working on viruses in this area would be an obvious possible source. Now, after weeks of chastising those who mentioned the lab theory, another cache of documents and information shows that there are ample reasons to be suspicious and that concerns were raised two years ago within the State Department.

The Washington Post reported that embassy officials in January 2018 alerted U.S. officials of serious problems in the lab which was conducting risky research on bats, the very source of COVIT-19. The United Kingdom has issued a statement that they are seriously considering the lab as a possible source.

The first cable on Jan.19, 2018 flagged serious problems at a lab dealing with the world’s most dangerous viruses: “During interactions with scientists at the WIV laboratory, they noted the new lab has a serious shortage of appropriately trained technicians and investigators needed to safely operate this high-containment laboratory.”

  1. Gavin Longmuir says:

If we are prepared to entertain the scenario that China’s leaders engineered a deliberate cover-up of an accidental viral release, we should also consider the possibility that China’s leaders engineered a kabuki theater of lock-downs following a deliberate release of a virus that we now know is really not too threatening (except to those who can already see Heaven’s Gate in the not too far distance).

If the objective was to get unprepared Western governments to inflict huge economic damage to themselves, this would have to be counted as a major success — a deception worthy of Sun Tzu himself. Weakened Western governments with angry impoverished populations are unlikely to present much of an obstacle to whatever the next stage of China’s leaders plan might be.

Not so many decades ago, when China was still effectively a peasant state, Mao boasted about China’s resilience to a US nuclear attack. Today’s China has too much to lose in a nuclear war — glittering cities, amazing infrastructure. China needs an alternative to war as a way to pursue ‘the continuation of politics by other means’.

      Thanks for the comment.

The Frenchman who identified HIV as the agent of AIDS claims that CoV-19 was engineered in a laboratory, and was released by accident.

The actions the CCP took after that accidental release should tell anyone of intelligence that this is “war by other means.”

Within three years of the Chernobyl meltdown, the USSR collapsed. I don’t know if China will last 3 years after this biological Chernobyl.

    • Gavin Longmuir says:

Whether China lasts or does not last is China’s problem. I am concerned about us!

Our Betters are inflicting economic damage on us which dwarves the damage done to the USSR by Chernobyl. Instead of trying to engineer a renaissance in US productive industry, Congress is throwing money they don’t have in all directions, while effectively strangling any remaining US industry which has not already been offshored.

Chernobyl had nothing to do with the fall of the USSR. Their incompetent government had so messed up Soviet agriculture that the USSR required massive food imports — paid for by exports of oil. When the price of oil collapsed in the mid-1980s, the writing was on the wall for the USSR.

Think about our situation today. Our incompetent government has so messed up US manufacturing that the US requires massive imports of manufactured products — paid for by IOUs. Those IOUs will start looking less & less valuable as the lock-downs destroy what is left of the economy and the Political Class prints more & more of them. Will we wake up in time to turn the situation around?
