Children of privilege are burning down homes and businesses that poor people worked their entire lives to create. There is nothing noble about this kind of compulsive destruction.
The killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis was merely a pre-text for radicals to push their ambitious insurgency. In a matter of hours, after the video of Floyd began circulating the internet, militant antifa cells across the country mobilized to Minnesota to aid Black Lives Matter rioters. Law enforcement and even the state National Guard have struggled to respond in Minnesota.
Portland, Oakland, Los Angeles, Dallas and Atlanta are just some of the other cities waking up and finding smoldering ruins where businesses once operated. Nearly 30 other cities experienced some form of mass protest or violent rioting. At least three people have been killed so far.
Antifa, the extreme anarchist-communist movement, has rioting down to an art. The first broken window is the blood in the water for looters to move in. When the looting is done, those carrying flammable chemicals start fires to finish the job. Footage recorded in Minneapolis and other cities show militants dressed in black bloc— the antifa uniform — wielding weapons like hammers or sticks to smash windows. __ Andy Ngo
Most of them tend to live with their parents and are being transported to the riots from out of town in an organized effort to monopolize news media and influence public opinion in particular ways. Left wing politicians join with leftist media to glorify the destruction and justify the deaths being caused by the incited violence. It is time for the federal government to go after the political promoters and financiers of these groups.
They Could Be Getting High Instead
People of low intelligence and/or of unstable mind, often enjoy watching things burn — and causing destruction and injury. Such people will be naturally drawn to activities that allow them to exercise their more regrettable inclinations. And there will always be wealthy persons such as George Soros or persons in the Democracy Alliance who would happily take advantage of the nihilistic impulses of such sad miscreants — such as those who participate in Antifa, the New Black Panthers, etc. to promote a political cause or to strike out against their opponents.
For society, however, there are ways to re-direct the misplaced energies of persons with violent urges, low intelligence, and poor impulse control. Instead of revolving-door prisons and a mindless escalation of violence, another approach should be considered. Consider getting high instead. I am not promoting the use of drugs generally, except when the alternatives are much worse.
DMT is an endogenous chemical, found naturally in the mammalian brain. It is rapidly metabolized by monoamine oxidase (MAO), so that when the drug is inhaled or taken intravenously, the effects are short-lived — 15 to 30 minutes or less. The experience of taking the drug can lead to positive changes in life perspective, along with a natural anti-depressant effect.
And often it’s very erotic, although I’m not sure if that’s the word. But it’s almost like sex is the surface of which this is the volume. And I’m a great fan of sex; I don’t mean to denigrate it. I mean to raise DMT to a very high status. __ Terrence McKenna
Inhalation of vaporized synthetic 5-MeO-DMT primarily induced experience of unity, a blissfull state, and elementary imagery whereas inhalation of vaporized toad secretion [the previous study] induced experience of unity, spiritual experience, and a blissfull state.
… Within the current study, the authors observed that after dosing, non-judgment significantly increased compared to baseline. They also noted that ratings of depression decreased immediately post-session and persisted into the 7-day follow-up. Also, the participant’s scores of anxiety and stress decreased from the baseline into the follow-up.
Among the most vivid, intriguing, memorable, and some-times disconcerting experiences that people report after taking a high dose of inhaled or intravenous DMT are those of encountering seemingly autonomous entities or beings (Luke, 2011; Luke and Spowers, 2018; Meyer, 2006; Strassman 2001, 2008). Although description of the nature of the entities, details of the experiences, and meaning attributed to the experiences vary widely, such experiences are apparently not infrequent. Strassman (2008) estimated that at least half of the participants in his studies of high doses of intravenous DMT reported experiences of journeys to invisible or alternative worlds, and that contact with alien beings or entities were a variant of this category.
DMT affects the rate of genetic transcription associated with synaptic plasticity (O’Donovan et al., 1999; González-Maeso et al., 2007), increased expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) expression associated with synaptic plasticity (O’Donovan et al., 1999), cognitive processes such as memory and attention (DeSteno and Schmauss, 2008), and modulation of efficacy and plasticity of synapses (Soulé et al., 2006).
… Intramuscular effects of DMT at a reported dose of 0.2–1 mg/kg (Szára, 2007) generally had a rapid onset (2–5 min) and lasted 30–60 min. The IM effects are usually less intense than intravenous or inhalation-of-vapor routes of administration.
Both DMT and sigma receptor ligands influence animal behavior. DMT injection induces hypermobility in rodents concurrently treated with the monoamine oxidase inhibitor pargyline (28), and this action is not antagonized by blockers of dopamine or serotonin receptors…
There Are Many Psychedelics to Choose From
I only highlight DMT because of the ability to regulate the time duration of the experience, from as short a time as 15 minutes to as long as several hours — depending upon the route of administration and the concomitant use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
DMT appears to be an ideal therapeutic psychedelic. For the more recreational use of one’s time in avoiding giving in to violent and destructive impulses, consider the careful supervised use of MDMA (ecstasy), psilocybin (shrooms), LSD, Midazolam, Ketamine, or placebo.
Placebo is the only drug that I might recommend to persons under the age of 25. Strong, mind-altering psychedelics or cannabinoids in the immature brain (under 25 yo) can have serious neurodevelopmental repercussions that can last decades or longer.
Of course, none of these drugs are likely to damage the minds and lives of young people as much as the immersion into a fanatical political ideology devoted to violence and destruction.
For that reason, it is important to give a choice of life-enhancing drugs to those who feel drawn to fanatical cults such as Antifa, New Black Panthers, the Climate Apocalypse Cult, or any similar ideological destroyer of minds and lives.
With both MDMA and psilocybin on the precipice of approvals as mainstream medicines, and several leading universities opening dedicated psychedelic research facilities, the story of the last 10 years has been one of profound breakthroughs. So, as we stand on the precipice of a new decade, it’s worth pausing for a moment and looking forward to investigate what the 2020s may hold in this rapidly accelerating field. __ New Atlas
Whenever possible, it is best to take on life’s challenges without pharmacological crutches. But in a world that is polluted by pathological media, pathological academia, pathological government, and pathological culture, sometimes the alternative to the careful use of drugs is far worse than the drugs.
